myHRproblem: How should I deal with racial abuse at work?

Dear MHRC,

I work as an account manager for a B2B IT business for one of my companies biggest clients. I have a good professional relationship with the team at my clients but endure ‘banter’ that I’m not altogether comfortable with. I am British from Korean descent, but am greeted daily with comments that don’t even reflect my heritage: anything from calling me Mulan to traditional Japanese greetings. Recently in a board meeting it was suggested my client would get a better deal should they ‘take me for noodles’.
My company relies on this client income and I don’t want to cause them or my team any undue complications.
However, these comments are not only ignorant but feel as though they are intended as insults.

What are my options from a HR perspective?
